The company history

Asitur Asistencia S.A. is firm specialized in providing services with a special vocation for quality and client satisfaction. The company was established in 1982 as an entity for services focused on designing products for the travel assistance industry and also products created for the different insurance firms which constitute our company, some of them, amongst the most important in the country. In 1991 Asitur launched its consolidating project as a company focused on general services incorporating new assistance products and providing high technology access to our costumers. Growth in these thirteen years has been such that our company has placed itself as a leading firm in the sector.

Asitur counts with the best resources to satisfy the needs of our costumers turning us into a company with the highest quality rate within the Spanish market (98%). When the smallest incident occurs, Asitur sets in motion its quality service to solve it. We know incidents exist and we think the best thing is to detect them as soon as possible and channel all our efforts towards its correction.

Another pillar on which our company sustains itself is the IT investment which has placed us at the forefront of national insurance companies.

Economical data

The total turnover in 2007 was of 129 million euro, solving a total of 1.800.000 claims a year.

Our main activities are travel assistance and home assistance (40% and 46% respectively of the total business). Other services are: health assistance, family assistance, deaths, claims, traffic fine management, glass repair and telephone information. All services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Currently Asitur has 2.7 million travel insurance policies. 2.5 million homes, neighbourhoods, and trade members are already insured with Asitur.

Likewise, more than 2 million people have chosen other services offered by Asitur Asistencia. The total number of customers insured rises up to more than 7 million people.

Asitur puts at your disposal the highest technology with an exclusive and personalized treatment, 24 hours, 365 days a year in order to offer you the following services.

  • Travel assistance: the quickest and most efficient way to solve the problems which may arise in a journey (by car or any other means of transport ), in Spain and abroad.
  • Home assistance, Multirisk insurance management and Asitur home assistance: Our wide range of assistance teams specialized in domestic repairs will guarantee both a complete follow up of the incident in your home as well as a definitive solution.
  • Health assistance. Asitur medical line: a medical team will be at your disposal to solve any doubt or health problems (they will give you counsel and advice about the measures to take in case of an unexpected health contingency).
  • Repair service. Car glass replacement service: Asitur puts at your disposal a wide network of repair shops specialized in repairing and replacing car windows as the best way to solve these incidents.
  • Family assistance. Death policies: a comprehensive insurance including the necessary covers to confront all kinds of personal risks –accidents, illness, travel assistance. Includes a in-case-of-death assistance offering immediate response to the material and emotional problems.
  • 24 Telephone service: Through our 24 hour services a fast and efficient attention of your inquires and requests can be provided at any time.
  • Claims registration service: Asitur will provide you with the necessary information in order to fill in a statement of facts on motor vehicle accident correctly.
  • Round the clock legal consulting/Traffic fine service: A team of lawyers and experts will be at your total disposal to provide you with legal advice and support in the face of an emergency (accident, theft, etc) that may affect your vehicle. Likewise, a complete traffic fine service will be offered carrying out the necessary appeals when incurring in traffic sanctions.
  • Contracting and costumer service: Asitur will be concerned with maintaining contracting the policies which better suits your needs, fast solving any doubts that may arise concerning the terms an conditions.
